]]> We are a group of young anti-fascists from Freiburg and the surrounding area who have made it our common goal to provide young people with an easy start into left-wing activism. At many political events, but also in personal circles, it is often noticed that many young people are dissatisfied with the current conditions, be it the performance-oriented school system or the handling of the climate catastrophe. However, there is often a lack of perspectives to actively confront these problems and the entry into activism seems very abstract. We want to change that by bringing together people who feel the same way. In our group, no one has more to say than the other and we have no desire for hierarchies. We also want to make self-reflection an integral part of our meetings and create a safe space for everyone to feel free to contribute as much as they want. For that goal, we would like to organize open meetings, plan inputs on various left-wing political or current issues together, and share our knowledge and experiences with each other.

We see ourselves as consistently anti-fascist, queerfeminist and anti-capitalist. This means that we clearly show solidarity with revolutionary struggles on the streets, for example social protest movements like the one against the new pension reform in France, but also autonomous areas like Rojava in Northern Syria or leftist free spaces on the ground, which have to be defended. We also try to develop and create awareness that different forms of discrimination and mechanisms of oppression are necessarily correlated and can only be addressed in conjunction with each other. Accordingly, our antifascism is intersectional and should take into account as many people as possible. Apart from offering people the easiest possible entry into leftist ideas and projects, the AJT also has the purpose of realizing and shaping our own visions of leftist politics. We don’t believe that the political challenges we are currently facing can be overcome by reforms and laws and we want to offer a system-critical alternative to the inhuman, destructive politics that prevail in Europe and the rest of the world.
