A Texas man with a past conviction for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon has been identified as a leader in the white nationalist Patriot Front group, a Hatewatch investigation has revealed.

Brenner Alexander Cole, 25, of Driftwood, Texas, has been a Patriot Front member since at least 2021 and since has assumed a leadership role within the group, according to leaked documents found by the media collective Unicorn Riot. The cache of leaked documents, which includes audio recordings of group meetings, shows that Cole became a network director for Patriot Front on Dec. 10, 2021; this role helps to plan propaganda runs, coordinate Patriot Front demonstrations and recruit new members. Cole also appears to have planned to drop a Patriot Front banner over an FBI billboard that advertises how to report hate crimes, but whether the action was carried out is unclear.

A Hatewatch investigation shows Cole appearing to welcome his local leadership role in the white nationalist group, using his position of authority to promote the group’s white nationalist ideology and motivate members to commit to their cause. Unmasking Cole and outlining his activities provides a window into the small but committed group of middle managers who oversee the circulation of Patriot Front’s racist propaganda into communities across the U.S.

Jacob Ray is orginally from Zanesville, Ohio but moved to Texas (DFW area) last year. He transferred from Patriot Front’s Network 13 to Network 1. He may have briefly lived in Duncan Falls, OH.

Jacob Ray goes by Rockwell’s Ghost on Telegram. Rockwell’s Ghost contacted us out of the blue. He saw our account in a chat and thought he recognized the username. He apparently thought we were a PF member even though this was a generic account used to monitor Nazi chats.

Rockwell’s Ghost identified himself as a Patriot Front member named “Vic” who had been active with Network 13. He mentioned moving to Texas and joining Network 1. Documenting his own activism, his profile included photos of PF stickers placed on advertisements featuring Black people.

Jacob Ray has been asking fellow Nazis to make donations via GoFundMe. He claimed that a “Woman I know stood up to antifa scum and lost her job over it. Now facing being homeless…” This dubious sob story would lead to his ID.

The person who created the page is none other than his girlfriend Amber Lagail Ballew. The two live together in the Dallas area. In other words, Jacob Ray was asking for donations to himself while claiming it was for some “woman I know” who was facing homelessness because of antifa!

Judging from her social media posts and photos Amber Ballew seems to share Jacob Ray’s ideology.

Jacob Ray claims to have attended the Patriot Front march in Philadelphia on July 4, 2021. We were unable to locate the specific photo he mentions appearing in. Paul Gancarz (Sam VA) is in the photo alongside Ray.

More details on how the ID was made: What immediately stood out on Amber Ballew’s Facebook was a photo of a guy wearing a tan hat with a Betsy Ross flag patch. This is part of the Patriot Front ‘uniform.’

Sure enough, the same exact image that was uploaded by Rockwell’s Ghost on Telegram was posted on Amber Ballew’s Facebook alt (Ambino Acid) as well as the accounts of both their relatives.

On verifying his name: In several posts Amber Ballew refers to him as Jacob (sometimes misspelled as Jakob) in the caption. However, he’s never tagged and doesn’t appear in her Friends list.

A Facebook photo uploaded by a close relative of Jacob Ray’s in 2016 shows Ray with his siblings. He’s tagged as Jacob Ray thus providing a direct link to his full name and face:

Kieran Patrick Morris is a longtime neo-Nazi and member of white supremacist organization Patriot Front. Kieran served as Network Director of the New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania Patriot Front chapter before moving to Haslet, Texas with Patriot Front leader Thomas Rousseau, and then likely to the Church of Aryanity‘s white supremacist compound in Eastern Tennessee.

Kieran was last known to be driving a Dark Blue 2007 Toyata Tacoma with a tonneau-type soft bed cover and Texas plates reading NNR 4884.

Steven Derrick Tucker, 30, was arrested on June 11th in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho with fellow members of the fascist group, Patriot Front, as they attempted to crash a Pride event there. Court records in Dallas County, Texas show that at the time of his arrest in Idaho, Tucker was out on bail awaiting trial on a charge of 2nd Degree felony assault with a deadly weapon. This charge stems from his arrest on August 14, 2021 after a fight he had with his male roommates at a house in Mesquite, TX. He threatened to kill one of them with a knife after they argued about washing dishes, prompting the other roommate to intervene. Court records in the aggravated assault case further reveal that one of the roommates (the complainant in the case) had a dating relationship with Tucker and that Tucker “was a member of the complainant’s family and household.” He was released on $25,000 bond on August 22, 2021.

Patriot Front members choose pseudonyms when they join the fascist group. Steven Derrick Tucker chose “Don TX” and used this pseudonym in Patriot Front’s private chat server. This chat server was subsequently leaked to the media group, Unicorn Riot, and the contents were published in January 2022. Posting as “Don TX” in the Patriot Front chats, he made reference to his legal situation, notably the fact that he wanted to keep Patriot Front out of it. (Is it any wonder?)

In a flurry of legal activity after Tucker’s arrest in Idaho as a member of Patriot Front, his bond was revoked for several weeks until he was eventually released with additional bond conditions including a requirement that he wear a ankle monitor. Tucker has also retained the legal services of Jason Lee Van Dyke, a longtime white nationalist and former lawyer for the Proud Boys, as his legal counsel in the Texas case.

Steven Derrick Tucker has traveled with Patriot Front to participate in their fascist flash mob actions on several occasions. In February 2021, Tucker was involved in a deadly car crash with several other Patriot Front members at the end of one of these actions in Utah. One member from New Jersey was killed and Thomas Rousseau, Patriot Front’s leader, was injured and hospitalized.

Forrest Clark Rankin (29) of Lorenzo, Texas is a member of the neo-Nazi organization Patriot Front, where he served as the photo coordinator for their Colorado & Southern Wyoming chapter. Forrest lived in Wheat Ridge, CO when he was arrested trying to disrupt a Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Pride event and has engaged in regular Patriot Front organizing, including flying to Washington D.C. for a failed white supremacist march. Rankin has since moved back to his hometown in Lorenzo, TX.

Rankin has worked as an engineer, but his current employment is unknown.

Thomas Ryan Rousseau, 25, of Haslet TX is the leader of the white supremacist organization Patriot Front.

Thomas was arrested alongside 30 other members of Patriot Front while attempting to disrupt a Pride event in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Whitson was previously arrested in 2020 for putting up Patriot Front stickers in Weatherford, TX with Cameron Pruitt and Graham Whitson.

Graham Jones Whitson, 31, of Haslet TX was arrested alongside 30 other members of Patriot Front while attempting to disrupt a Pride event in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Whitson was previously arrested in 2020 for putting up Patriot Front stickers in Weatherford, TX with Cameron Pruitt and Thomas Rousseau.

Robert Alden Benjamin Whitted, 22, of Conroe, TX was arrested alongside 30 other members of Patriot Front while attempting to disrupt a Pride event in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. James was convicted by a jury for his participation in this action alongside four other Patriot Front members: Devin W. Center, Forrest C. Rankin, James J. Johnson, and Derek J. Smith.

According to the Kootenai Co Sheriff’s Office, Robert’s address at time of booking was: 1600 RIVER POINT DR #1433, CONROE, TX 77304.

Josiah Daniel Buster, 24, of Watauga TX was arrested alongside 30 other members of Patriot Front while attempting to disrupt a Pride event in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Josiah is the Operations Manager for Veterans Brothers Roofing in Weatherford TX but was removed from the business’ website after his arrest.

Despite the removal from the website, Veterans Brothers Roofing continues to receive reviews mentioning Josiah Buster.

According to the Kootenai Co Sheriff’s Office, Josiah Buster’s address at time of booking was: 7008 SPRING CREEK TRAIL, WATAUGA, TX 76148. Patriot Front member Connor Moran was also listed at the Spring Creek Trail address. Josiah’s brother Mishael was also arrested at the same event, whose address was listed as 7302 N YALE STREET, SPOKANE, WA 99217, a property likely owned by their parents.
