Interrogator in an airport jail in an EU country January 2021

One of the former Hamburg G20 prisoners needs our support!

The young Russian anarchist who was part of the NoG20 protests in Hamburg and was put in pre-trial detention in July 2017 for more than four months and had to show up in court every week for months and month until he finally returned after almost a year of involuntary residence at home, was forced to leave Russia and ask for asylum in an EU country.

Unfortunately the Hamburg immigration authorities expelled him from Germany at the end of 2017 and obtained a 5 year entry ban for the entire Schengen area against him. And did so, although the legal proceedings against him were far from over at this point and there was ultimately no final conviction in the end.
His lawyer for Migration and residencial rights in Hamburg could meanwhile legally block this but it was not deleted from the SIS II police computer, which is the case of big problems.

As part of the wave of persecution against anti-fascists and anarchists in Russia an extremist group was fantasized about in preparation for the condemnation of the anarchist Asat Miftachow. He is facing a trail to break an office window of Putin party “United Russia” on New Year’s Eve 2018
“… But the judiciary found … [Asat] after two years Pretrial detention, guilty of hooliganism. Miftachow is said to be Head of a Extremistic group “by using arms” violate public order and show their “disregard for Society ” …” He was sentenced to 6 years in prison in Moscow on January 19. https://taz.de/Gefaengnis-fuerrussischen-Oppositionellen/!5741846/

A few days before Asat’s sentencing, the “extremist group” where shown on television. pictures of young anarchists at sports trainings and events, as well as photos of Weapons etc cut together and broadcast. So also photos of our comrade, who then decided to leave the country and flee as quickly as possible.

On January 16 He flew to a major EU city without a visa and asked in the transit zone of the Airport for asylum. He immediately landed in the airport jail.
First it was said that his request was apparently not “obviously unfounded” and he should probably after a weekend in custody “enter” the country to carry out an asylum procedure. But then they said after the weekend that he is a threat to the security and order of the country, since he did also a threat to the security and order of Germany, Hamburg, G20, etc, etc. and he is therefore not allowed to “enter” and also not apply for asylum in the airport procedure. They will send him back!

Fortunately, a good lawyer could be found who immediately brought an legal action against this. Went to the airport jail to visit him in custody and had all the documents from Hamburg translated that prove that he was in Hamburg neither convicted nor expelled and no Schengen entry is blocked.

In the meantime, two gentlemen “asked” him to talk to him while he was in custody at the airport. What he believed, what could be done for him, what Putin couldn’t do for him, why he was at the G20 in Hamburg whether he had any contacts with anarchists in this country, at all Contacts and, above all, if he is an anarchist, why would he not go to Africa?
After they threatened to beat him up with a chair because he stubbornly told them to talk to his lawyer they withdrew again. The lawyer herself couldn’t find out exactly what kind of gentlemen they were.

After 9 days in an airport jail, she succeeded on January 26th. to get him out of there in court and he now move freely and can apply for asylum.

Since the legal fees there are much higher than here and he urgently needed and still needs legal help he now needs our support.

The lawyers’ fees, translations, etc. amount to just over 3000 euros. Half of it has already come together. Now we need about 1500 euros

From Hamburg to Biarritz: United we stand! https://unitedwestand.blackblogs.org/en/from-hamburg-to-biarritz-united-we-stand/ Tue, 25 Jun 2019 22:20:30 +0000 http://unitedwestand.blackblogs.org/?p=2764 Continue reading ]]> Call for direct actions on July 6th and 7th in solidarity with all
affected by repression.

It’s been two years since the rallies, the pillars of smoke, the smashed
glass and the sirens of G20 in Hamburg. Despite the massive police
violence, our memories of liberating moments and moments of tangible
hope, expressed by the rage of tens of thousands, prevails.

Unite against repression

The massive repression did not only find expression in the police
violence during the summit but continues in the form of surveillance,
manhunts, defamation, fines and imprisonment of many our friends.

Uneffable detention conditions and a political judiciary, right away
starting to impose absurd prison sentences, are the brutal response for
a failed summit. The escalation and the violation of principles of civil
liberties were apparent.

In December 2018, the “Elbchaussee trials” started. Four young people
from Offenbach and Loic S., the poet from France who is still in
investigative custody, are supposed to suffer for a series of destroyed
cars and windows on the rim of a demonstration in Altona. On top of
that, our solidarity is called “detrimental to disciplining” and used as
a reason to close the trials to the public.

There is ongoing and pending trials against our movement not only
because of the Elbchaussee, but also because of the barricade party in
the Schanze, the harbour rally and the bludgeon orgy at Rondenbarg. Our
solidarity still needs to be seen and heard.

Unite to resist

All forms of resistance in Hamburg were and stay legitimate in light of
the continuous global crisis of the capitalist machinery. We will not be
intimidated by future authoritarian laws and a violent swing to the
right, either. Now more than ever we need to fight back against
economical oppression, the ecological disaster, racist and anti-feminist
agitators.

This year, Macron’s France is presiding the G7. In a climate of growing
social tensions and the respective repression, the summit in Biarritz in
August will lead to massive protests as well. Let us build a
cross-border solidarity! Let us continue the fight for a solidary
society and against the summits of the rulers!

After the summit is before the summit! Our solidarity against their
authority!
The alliance of solidary organizations against G20 in Germany calls for
signs of protest on July 6th and 7th, the anniversary of the Hamburg
summit protest.
Organize in your city and take action!

Solidarity is our strength! From Hamburg to Biarritz: United We Stand!

The G20 is over, but the work is not and there is no let up.

More than 100,000 people from all different backgrounds took part and made their way to Hamburg to protest against the G20 summit. Throughout the preparation against the G20 we faced constant repression; Camps were prohibited, demonstrations banned, houses and flats raided. It came to the point that people were approached and given verbal warnings, taken into custody or even received travel restrictions. Not only before but throughout the days of protest there were unprecedented levels of repression, uncountable numbers of protesters injured by the cops, hundreds taken into custody or arrested. 36 from which are still imprisoned, most of whom travelled from other countries to take part in the protests.

Those imprisoned comrades who took to the streets with us to fight against the G20 and it’s ridiculous and inhuman policies are now in need of our support. We’re not just thinking about here and now we still await repression in the coming weeks and months and those who might be affected. Our solidarity and resistance must be diverse. We will of course need a substantial amount of money not only for the lawsuits, but also for the campaigns publicity. The support from individuals is encouraged but it’s is also important that we fight against the repression collectively! Our goal is a international far-reaching campaign in which many people can contribute.

Despite all the attempts from the media and security forces before, during and after the summit they didn’t manage to split us, we still stand together and will continue to do so together with our imprisoned comrades! The summit is over but our fight for a better world without war, exploitation, oppression and prisons goes on!
United we Stand!
