Calls for action

First call for “Anti-Frontex Action Days” in Autumn 2016

FRONTEX is the EU border agency that symbolises Europe’s violent border regime. They stand for the violation of migrant rights within and beyond Europe. While Frontex presents themselves as a humanitarian actor and while they are merely one amongst many border security actors, they work towards the closure of borders and the deterrence of unauthorised migration. They push-back refugee boats in the Mediterranean Sea, they organise collective charter deportations, they force migrants to give fingerprints, and they further outsource and externalise European border control and management. Through their border surveillance, securitisation and militarisation they have contributed to the deaths and suffering of thousands of migrant and refugee lives.

Frontman Pectex

We do not accept the violent oppression of migrant rights. We do not accept the massive loss of life, in the Mediterranean Sea, in detention centres and elsewhere. We do not accept the continous destruction of people’s futures. We struggle toward a different society, one of solidarity without borders.

Let’s mobilise, come together and fight collectively against those responsible for Europe’s border deterrence. We call for decentralised action days throughout and beyond Europe during which we confront Frontex and their allies. Be active and prepare creative actions wherever you are! We will generate momentum to create a strong transnational movement that struggles for the freedom of movement of all.

Push back Frontex!
