Protesters hold die-in at the White House against Biden’s genocide in Gaza

On the 2nd of December, Palestinians and their supporters gathered in a park in Tampa, FL, right across from the courthouse. Demanding justice they took to the streets, marching for a second time on the “Winter Village” Christmas festival at Carl Hixon Waterfront Park.
This time around, a big crowd was there-and Mayor Jane Castor, infamous for cross-training the Tampa Police with the IDF and promoting Israeli products in Tampa. Protesters called her out, chanting “Shame on Jane!”
Reports also emerged that both Jerusalem and Bethlehem in Palestine had to cancel their Christmas events due to the war. The shopping festivals in the US seem to be unaffected. Protesters reminded those who would listen that Jesus was Palestinian.
Back in Palestine, Israel was given five reasons to wish they hadn’t broken the cease-fire: three rocket barrages aimed directly at Tel Aviv, and two of their Merkava tanks knocked out by Gaza’s defenders.
On the first of December, the cease-fire in Gaza broke down or ended as Israel resumed bombing Gaza. Protesters infuriated by the renewed slaugher descended on the Embassy of Israel in Washington DC.
On the 28th of November, pro-Gaza protesters showed up at the Capitol’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Four were arrested for unknown reasons by Capitol Police.
On the 25th of November, Tampa area Palestinians and their many allies gathered at a park across from the courthouse. There they remembered the many martyr’s of the current war, at least 8,000 of them children slaughtered in their homes or on the streets.
After the vigil, participants marched across downtown to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park-and the “Winter Village” Christmas festival being held there. For safety’s sake , the march passed by the festival one walkway short of it rather than going through it.
Before the march, both a Muslim Imam and a Christian minister spoke at the vigil. The Christian bluntly warned that “you cannot build a holy land on the mass graves of children and condemned the hypocrisy of “Christians” supporting Israel’s genocide.
On the 24th of November, DC’s contribution to the Turtle Island-wide wave of Black Friday protests for Gaza was a march on Georgetown. On a day where upscale shoppers were expected to pack Georgetown’s most upscale stores, marchers chanted pro-Palestine chants. In addition, marchers demanded “No shopping while bombs are dropping”
On the 24th of November, the coast to coast wave of Black Friday Gaza solidarity protests continued at Tampa, FL. The chosen target was the massive Tampa Premium Outlets shopping Mall. Traffic backed up all the way to the I-75 feeder lanes even though protesters were NOT blocking traffic.
Author’s note: this wave of Black Friday protests was something I just HAD to see with my own hands!
On November 24, Protesters blocked the entrance to Towson Mall. The cops were called Zionists in chants after pushing them to the sidewalk for the benefit Black Friday shoppers.
This was part of a wave of Black Friday protests for Gaza from coast to coast across Turtle Island. Photo below is of a disruption at the Mall of the Americas, photo by Unicorn Riot:
This as a short cease-fire and prisoner exchange is allowing some hostages held both in Israel’s jails and those held by Hamas to return home, three held by Israel (holding 1,500) for every hostage held by Hamas (holding 240 initially). First exchange was 24 Israelis freed and 39 Palestinians freed, hopefully more to come.Still, Israel says they plan two more months of war after this pause is over. Protesters are demanding a permanent cease-fire.
This is a little late getting out (The Macy’s blockade was AFTER this, on ThingsTaking itself) but was still a solid action.
On the day before “ThingsTaking,” the busiest travel day of the year, pro-Palestine protesters returned to DC’s Union Station for a die-in. This protest dramatized the mass murder of children and civilians under the storm of rockets and bombs Israel has devastated Gaza with.
On the 23ed of November, activists blockaded the Macy’s “ThingsTaking” parade in NYC. On a day the US celebrates colonialism and settlement, these warriors disrupted the parade in solidarity with Palestine and with all resisting colonialism and the destruction of Earth.
