2. Correct! 70% of our profits are generated through AWS

Amazon does not necessarily have to make profits in other business areas (e.g. online shopping), as the web and cloud service AWS (Amazon Web Services) already generates 70% of the profits and thereby secures a competitive advantage in other areas. 1/3 of all Internet users use AWS web servers. Running on these servers are for example Netflix, Amazon, Apple Services, Instagram, Spotify, Airbnb, Soundcloud, Dropbox, Telegram, Twitch, Twitter, Shell and many others.
Amazon is the world’s largest provider of so-called “cloud services”. We manage an incredible amount of data on our servers, collected by companies and authorities. In particular, we also provide video surveillance with identity and route recognition for private companies and public authorities. Cloud services offer data center services via the Internet: from hard disk storage to virtual servers and higher software functions. In the last three years, an increasing number of services related to “artificial intelligence” (AI) have been offered. This technology can therefore be used on a large scale with little previous knowledge.
We work closely with police forces, secret services and military personnel. A win-win-win situation: your data for your security, for our profit, for control.
